Two Humans announced yesterday that they will be disbanding. Read a statement from the band below and listen to Institute of Living here!
"We feel as though Record Store Day is a fitting day to announce that today we completed tracking our new record "Institute Of Living" in it’s entirety, and that this record will in fact be the last record we put out as Two Humans. We will have the record on our bandcamp for "name your price" before our last scheduled show on May 10th with Frankie Cosmos, Porches, Babysnakes, and Loner Chic at the Heirloom Arts Theater in Danbury, CT. We have no plans for a physical release of this album. We encourage you to download the album, burn it to CD’s, or send it to your friends if you feel so inclined. We’ve worked harder on writing, recording, and shaping these songs than we have any other work of music and are collectively very proud of how it came out.
You’ll be happy to know the ending of Two Humans is not in bad blood. We’ve been best friends for many years and we’ll remain the best of friends until the day we die. We all have many other personal endeavors that are taking precedence over this band. We’ve been together for 6 years, three albums, and over thousands of miles. We’ve been shown the best times of our lives by strangers across state lines and wouldn’t change a thing.
We are performing at CT Fauxchella Festival at The Space in Hamden CT on May 3rd, and at the Heirloom Arts Theater as mentioned above on May 10th. If you can’t make either of those shows we will also be having a record release party tied in with a farewell send off show at our house in East Hartford in July that we will release the details to not long from now. That being said we will not be accepting any more booking requests and will not being touring out this summer as previously planned.
Thank you for your endless support over the years. We adore each and every one of you.
And hey, on to Bigger and Better Things, am I right?
